Social Media News Desk!!! Twitter owner Elon Musk has announced that ‘X.com’ will now live on ‘Twitter.com’ and the ‘Interim X logo’ will go live later today. “Don’t know how this happened but I love the letter X,” he said in a tweet. On Sunday, he also launched a survey asking users whether they should change the default platform color to black. Currently, Blacks are leading in the poll with 74.8 per cent votes, while Whites have got only 25.2 per cent votes.
When technology influencer Marques Brownlee tweeted, “I’ll still call it Twitter”, Musk replied, “Not for a long time.” In response to a user’s question about what the Twitter-owner’s new title would be instead of ‘Chief Tweet’, Musk replied: “Chief Nothing Officer.” The Twitter-owner also confirmed that once the platform changes its name, a tweet will be called “A X”.
On the other hand, Twitter CEO Linda Yacarino said on Monday, “It’s exceptionally rare in life or business that you get a second chance to make an even bigger impression. Twitter made a massive impression and changed the way we communicate. Now, X will go on to transform the global town square..” On Sunday, Musk said that soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand and gradually to all birds. He then posted a video highlighting the ‘X’ logo. In April, the Twitter-owner replaced the blue bird homepage logo with a “dog” meme.
