Elon Musk wants Starlink to be your new mobile operator

While some of the companies Elon Musk are going through enormous problems as is the case of Twitter or Tesla, starlink seems to stay afloat. In recent weeks the company satellites intended to offer internet at any remote point on Earth has not stopped growing and, in fact, space is increasingly home to a greater number of these satellites.

Despite the problems of having a fleet of satellites constantly orbiting planet Earth, Elon Musk continues to make the right moves to keep Starlink relevant and away from criticism. Of course, escaping from the comments of experts that indicate that having this swarm prevents us from seeing the space properly is complicated.

Starlink’s future plans go through different proposals and changes, one of the biggest being to bring the Internet connection to mobile phones. Yes, Elon Musk wants Starlink to be your new mobile operator and with it you can access the Internet from anywhere in the world without problems.

When it comes to achieving this, it needs the support of telecommunications companies, seeking refuge in the operator T-Mobile. It is not a new idea and, in fact, it was announced last summer that Starlink would begin to propose a necessary change to be able to offer internet directly to mobile phones and thus eliminate areas without network access.

Starlink could be your new mobile operator: this is Elon Musk’s plan

He mobile service of the company will begin to start in 2023. Accompanying these plans, new satellites have also been announced Star Link V2 They have a manufacturing rate of six units per day in Seattle. Of course, getting mobile service will not be easy and, in fact, new antenna technology will be necessary.

This new technology should be integrated into the Starlink V2 satellites, although it has not been made clear and could come with a new generation of satellites. These antennas will be larger, allowing users to access the Internet on their mobile devices with data speeds between 2 and 4 Mbps.

Logically, this speed is limited so it can be used for applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram. Browsing or consuming multimedia content is almost ruled out at the moment. We will have to wait to see how this proposal by Starlink with the collaboration of T-Mobile progresses.
