What is the new scam?
This new scam includes a fake browser extension named “Ouick Access to ChatGPT”, which users unknowingly download to gain access to ChatGPT. While the chatbot is given access to it, the browser extension steals all the cookies stored on your device, including security and session tokens from YouTube, Facebook, Google, and other platforms. Now hackers are free to steal your password, gain access and take over your account. Especially Facebook accounts are on the target of hackers.

The browser extension installs a backdoor to your Facebook account. This fake ChatGPT browser extension is known to hack high-profile Facebook accounts. By hijacking high-profile Facebook business accounts, threatening hackers build an army of Facebook bots and paid media systems, Guardio. Let us tell you that Guardio also told that the ‘Ouick Access to ChatGPT’ browser extension has been removed from the Chrome Web Store. If you still have it installed on your device, you can try to prevent hackers from accessing your account. It has to be removed immediately.
