As a personal iPhone user, I have to admit that Android’s fast charging makes me want to keep up my good work: It’s a pleasure to have the mobile ready in a very short time. And the truth is, you get used to it quickly. However, it is normal to get carried away by habits: I do the same thing with my phone almost every day, I charge it at the same times and I know how long its battery usually lasts. So, except in exceptional cases, I always charge my phone at night and that’s it, I’m happy with those 20 W.
That every now and then a little more fast charging would be nice? Of course: the day when for whatever reason I forgot to charge it while I was sleeping or the day when I used the phone more than usual and its battery didn’t last all night or simply, on those trips where you don’t know when you’ll have a power outlet again or there are very few and they are in demand. But it’s not a big deal: I have a power bank and it does the trick.
Fast charging is convenient, but wireless charging saves my day
To tell the truth, it’s not just any power bank: it has Magsafe (which, remember, can also be used on Android), so it charges wirelessly. And this seems much better to me, since I always carry it with me precisely for those emergency situations in which I need to charge my phone and for whatever reason, I can’t do it: I can’t stay in one place charging it, there are no plugs, I don’t have the charger/adapter… it doesn’t matter at all, If I carry my battery with wireless charging, I don’t need more.
Mobility, convenience, and independence, even if speed isn’t exactly wireless charging’s strong point. Having a fast adapter to squeeze out charging specs is nice, but having a power bank with wireless charging is a different story. Yes, a wired power bank does the same thing, but Carrying it attached to the back without depending on cables is really convenient. to use it on the go with minimal hassle, as there are no cables.
I don’t forget critical situations such as having a wet port. From time to time it has happened to me, a warning has appeared and a cold sweat has run down my forehead thinking that even though my phone is moderately water resistant, if liquid gets into key parts, the problem can be serious. Fortunately it never was, but even in those moments when you can’t or shouldn’t charge via cable, wireless charging comes to the rescue to keep your phone charged without compromising its integrity.
