The way in which this collaboration has been announced indicates that Qualcomm will become one or the main provider of technological solutions for Ferrari. The way it will do this is through the Snapdragon division.
To reach this agreement, what has been negotiated is that Ferrari will be able to use different Qualcomm technologies. It has not been specified what they would be, but everything seems to indicate that they will be the ones that enable Ferrari to improve the intelligent section of its vehicles.
And, it is that, will have access to the Qualcomm Snapdragon Digital Chassis suite. This suite is in charge of offering intelligent solutions for vehicles, although it is not the only one. Those of Qualcomm have a large network of technologies.
Among them are both Snapdragon Ride, a division in charge of generating and developing ways and solutions to achieve autonomous cars. There is also Snapdragon Cockpit which is meant to improve the hardware for the driving experience..
Although one of the most important Snapdragon Auto Connectivity, which is dedicated to integrating different network systems within vehicles such as LTE, 5G and Wi-Fi. This would be the part of the deal for Ferrari.
What Qualcomm has negotiated is the fact of being part of the Ferrari team. Let’s go, now on Ferrari Formula 1 cars you will start to see the Qualcomm logo. In fact, the F1-75 car will be the first to carry this logo.
We will have to wait to know all the details of the agreement between both companies and, above all, how this benefits both. At the moment the only thing we can do is keep up to date with all the news.
