2023 is being a very good year for mobile video games. Jewels like ‘Oxenfree II’ or the remarkable ‘Honkai: Star Rail’ will soon be joined by ‘Monster Hunter’ from the creators of ‘Pokémon Go’ and the new ‘Assassin’s Creed Jade’. However, if there is one that attracts attention and is one of the most anticipated, it is ‘Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis’.

A lot is expected of this game that promises to tell us about the unknown past of Sephiroth, the antagonist of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ and one of the franchise’s most beloved characters. And the good thing is that it won’t be long before we can enjoy this game.

Another remake-revision of ‘Final Fantasy VII’, now with Sephiroth

‘Final Fantasy VII’ is one of Square Enix’s golden egg hens and, furthermore, one of the most beloved games in the history of the medium, in general. The original from 1997 is still a true marvel (despite how the years have influenced in some aspects), but it is slowly catching up.

In 2020, the first part of the ‘Final Fantasy VII’ remake came to PS4 with a very important visual overhaul, but also mechanics and novelties in the story. Last year ‘Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII’ arrived and ‘Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth’ is expected early next year.

Square Enix plans to release a version, or something related to it, of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ every year and, this time, mobile gamers are in luck. For now, ‘Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis’ is exclusive to iOS and Android and it is a kind of review with scenes that will tell us more about Sephiroth’s past, as well as stories of new characters.

The launch is scheduled on both platforms for September 7 (the same week of launch of ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ on PS5 and ‘Starfield’ on PC and Xbox) and you can already anticipate the download both on the App Store and in the Google Play Store.

If you are concerned about the Android requirements, Square Enix has detailed that we will need a mobile with Android 8.0 or higher, 8 GB of storage, 4 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 845 to play properly.
