Flying taxis are already in Spain thanks to the company NextNorth, which has launched a proposal to link the different islands of the Balearic Islands by air.
The flying taxis They are already a reality in Spain. Electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles or EVTOL have arrived in the Balearic Islands. The NextNorth company is responsible for this innovation that will allow the islands to be connected with the peninsula quickly and, of course, connect the different islands with each other.
EVTOLs are a new generation of aircraft that can take off and land vertically, such as a helicopter, but they run on electric motors instead of fossil fuels. These vehicles have the advantage of being quieter, cleaner, and cheaper than traditional helicopters, making them ideal for urban and tourist operations.
NextNorth’s objective is to offer a high-quality and completely personalized transport service for the inhabitants and visitors of the islands, which will result in a unique and exclusive travel experience. Bearing this in mind, It will not be a cheap trip as such and, in fact, the prices are not designed for all budgets.
What has been seen is that the trip will be 3,550 euros and offering five seats, meaning that each trip will have a price of 710 euros. Of course, it is expected that in a few months more routes will be offered in different types of taxis with which the price that is expected to pay for this service can be reduced.
NextNorth lands in the Balearic Islands with flying taxi routes between islands.
In fact, what has been said is that the journey within Ibiza has a price of 95 euros per seat. Of course, this will have to wait to be able to enjoy it since, as we have seen, for now the prices are quite prohibitive for general users. The company hopes to democratize this type of flying taxi flights.
Reservations can be made from the official website or from the application, when trying to do so we found that there was only one day available to fly this month and that is Friday the 19th. The seats offered are exactly five for a price of 3,900 dollars that are the 3,550 euros to change already mentioned.
You can reserve one or all available seats, making the experience much more private. For now we will have to wait until June 25 of this year to see this operation fully operational and making 4-minute flights like the one promised on their website.
