Last summer it was announced that WhatsApp was working on a kind of avatar creator, which would allow us to customize them as much as possible so that they resemble ourselves, and that we could use them in moments such as video calls, a feature still under development and that Apparently it will take a while to arrive.
But WhatsApp avatars will go much further, because they will not only serve to personalize our video calls, but we can also use them as our own profile imageeven giving them certain features of greater customization.
And it is that as they advance in wabetainfo, Meta is working so that we can include our pertinent avatar as a profile picture, giving us the possibility of customizing it, at least in regards to the background color it has.
In this way, the future avatars for WhatsApp will not only be used in video calls, but also as a profile picture by choosing a background color that we want.
It also seems that we can use this avatar and send it as a sticker to our contacts, to bother them much more.
As you well know, the avatar creator is under development for WhatsApp and will allow us to create an avatar in our image and likeness, avatars inspired by the design that we can currently see on Facebook.
Thus, in the future, our WhatsApp conversations could show a caricature of the person speaking to give a distinctive touch.
At the moment it seems that it is a feature that is not coming down, so it is in an early phase of development, but it seems that avatars will be one of the main novelties that WhatsApp will receive in 2023, a nod to the metaverse that will obviously expand to all applications belonging to Meta.
