Samsung is not just a smartphone brand. The firm is taking advantage of the launch of Meteor Lake at Intel to unveil its new laptop PCs.
Let's not act surprised, a leak had already revealed the entire Galaxy Book 4 range in November. It is now officially presented by Samsung on the occasion of the launch of the new Meteor Lake processors by Intel.
From Galaxy Book 4 to Galaxy Book 4 Ultra
Samsung maintains the same logic as its previous generation with a range made up of 5 machines.
At the very top of the pyramid, you have the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra. It is equipped with a 16-inch Amoled 2880 x 1800 pixel screen, an Intel Core Ultra 7 or 9 chip and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or 4070 graphics chip.
You then have two intermediate machines: the Galaxy Book 4 Pro (14 or 16 inches) and the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360. The latter, as its name suggests, offers a touch screen that can be rotated behind the keyboard to transform it into a tablet. With a 16-inch screen, it will still be a rather bulky tablet, designed primarily for taking notes or drawing with a stylus.
In its press release, Samsung does not give any details on the Galaxy Book 4 and Galaxy Book 4 360 which should accompany this range. According to leaks, they would offer 15.6-inch Full HD LCD or Amoled screens, and a simple Intel Core 5 processor.
This new range of laptops will first be offered in South Korea from January 2024, with deployment planned for other markets later in the year.
