Although they are not the only ones, both Microsoft and NVIDIA with GeForce NOW are the absolute leaders in streaming video games. Thanks to these platforms, not only is it not necessary to have a PC, but we can also play from any device. mobile or tablet and even from a Smart TV connecting a control stick.
Every Thursday, NVIDIA’s video game streaming platform announces the titles that will be coming to the platform in the coming weeks. On this occasion, the company has used the announcement to announce that this platform, which began its journey in beta phase in 2015, is now compatible with more than 2,000 games.
A couple of years ago, NVIDIA claimed that this platform had a user base 20 million (without specifying those who pay and those who use the free version with limited time of use). Since then, it has not updated its user data, but if the platform is still standing, it means that the service is profitable and the number of users has most likely increased.
Over 2,000 games compatible with NVIDIA GeForce NOW
Since last February, users of the free plan, in addition to waiting for a slot on the servers, suffer from two minutes of ads, ads that have become an additional source of income for this NVIDIA platform.
GeForce NOW offers three access plans. The most expensive of all, the Ultimate, which costs 21.99 euros, allows users to enjoy the graphic quality offered by a single RTX 4080with graphics in 4K or at 120 FPS in addition to enjoying all the functions of this graphics card model without having to buy it together with a powerful computer to avoid bottlenecks.
As we mentioned above, GeForce NOW was officially launched in beta in 2015. It wasn’t until 2018 that the free beta was launched for everyone, a beta that lasted until 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Right at that time, some publishers decided that the time had come to remove their titles from GeForce Now.
Fortunately for this platform, the announcement of the purchase of Activision Microsoft allowed all of the company’s titles to become available again. In this way, the company founded by Bill Gates avoided any regulatory objections to the agreement, which was formalized at the end of last year.
The new video games that are now available through GeForce Now announced yesterday are:
- Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Rat Reich
- Nine Souls
- Vision of Mana
All of these games are available on Steam, including the first three that have arrived on Valve’s platform in recent days.
