Good news for anyone who is tired of having to look for the unsubscribe button at the bottom of an email, Gmail now puts it prominently.
Now positioned prominently next to the sender's email address, the “Unsubscribe” button has never been easier to find in Gmail.
Your inbox is probably full of lots of random marketing emails that you've never opened and may not plan to read. Google is aware of this and wants to help you clean up your mailbox.
After asking mass email senders in October to include a clearly visible unsubscribe button, Gmail is now adding it to its web version. The blue button in question is positioned next to the sender's name, making it hard to miss. It advantageously replaces the gray and underlined version which dated from 2014.

It's not really a one-click unsubscribe button as you have to confirm the action on the window that appears. The latter asks you if you would like to unsubscribe from this sender and that “Gmail will unsubscribe you by sending an email from you” to the sender.
Gmail: Google will delete millions of accounts this December
On the web version, you were sometimes offered to unsubscribe when you marked a message as spam. The new button will now be much more visible, which will save you from having to look for the unsubscribe link that is often well hidden at the end of an email.
