Earlier, users on Windows had to download WhatsApp’s web-based desktop app. Or use your web browser’s messaging service. The new app is a native Windows app and works as a standalone app without relying on the Phone app. Regarding this app, WhatsApp has said that it will increase the speed and it has been designed and optimized for the user’s operating system.
The app will allow users to receive notifications and messages even when their phones are offline. According to the FAQ web page, this new desktop app has been made available for download on Windows. It can be downloaded from Microsoft App Store. Once it is downloaded and installed, the first thing to do is log in. First of all open WhatsApp on your phone. Now go to ‘More Options’ in the Settings of Android or iPhone. Here tap on Linked Devices. On the WhatsApp desktop app, move the camera over the QR code. Currently, the WhatsApp desktop native app for the Mac operating system is in the development stage. Those who want to use it can download the WhatsApp beta program for early access.
