While OpenAI previously launched the ChatGPT app for iOS and then for Android, Microsoft has reversed the order but has not been long in coming: first it was on Android and a few hours ago Copilot is now available for download in the App Store for Apple devices: the best way to squeeze out everything that GPT-4 and DALL-E3 can offer to iPhones and iPads at zero cost. We tell you how to download it step by step.
How to download Microsoft Copilot on iOS and iPadOS
It doesn't have much mystery: we simply go to the Apple application store and search for 'Microsoft Copilot' or even easier, you can download it directly from this link to the App Store. When you have it installed on your iPhone or iPad and open it, the first thing you will find is the presentation message, the relevant permissions and you'll need to sign in with a Microsoft account.
If you look closely at the screenshots just above, you will see that you can slide the toggle to activate and use GPT-4 and here we already see the big difference with the official ChatGPT app: with OpenAI to use the latest generation of its chatbot it is necessary to check out and subscribe to ChatGPT Plus, but with Microsoft Copilot you will do it for free.
That is, with Microsoft Copilot you will have a chatbot with which you can answer questions, make translations, make summaries, make suggestions and many other tasks through ChatGPT-4. You can also generate images from a description with the DALL-E3 model.
With Microsoft Copilot, the Redmond company says goodbye to Bing Chat with this rebrandingbut the essence is the same: use the best of OpenAI applied in the Microsoft environment with identical operation. In addition to the Android and iOS apps, Microsoft has made a completely independent web version of the Bing browser available to the public.
