Forget everything you know about keyboards. Google Japan just submitted G-board Bara keyboard in the form of bar with the keys in a rowwhich measures 1.6 meters long.
It sounds really crazy, but Google claims that this keyboard with custom keys it is much more ergonomic, and has unsuspected utilities.
What Google Japan has done is to place the more than 100 keys of a conventional keyboard, all in a row. Thus he has obtained a keyboard 165 centimeters long, for only 2 centimeters wide. You can see it in the video news opening.

The first advantage of this new format is that you can use the keyboard even with the table cluttered with things, since it fits in just 2 centimeters of space. And since it’s so long… It can be used by up to two people at the same time! You will type the texts twice as fast.
Google Japan assures in its press release that, being so long, it allows the user stretch your arms and legs naturally when you are writing. It is also much more comfortable to clean, and has a unique advantage: your cat won’t go to sleep on it.
And if the peripheral functions don’t convince you, it has many other uses beyond the reach of conventional boring keyboards.
For example, it serves as an extension of your arm to turn the light switches on or off. It’s great for removing things that have slipped under the couch or a cupboard, and you can use it as a ruler to measure the height of your children.
The most extravagant users can use it as a balance stick to walk a rope, and there is even an accessory to attach a net and use as a butterfly net, or to catch the fish you catch in the river. It is also an excellent cane for outdoor walks.

Unfortunately it’s not going to be put up for sale, because as you’ve probably guessed, it’s a Japanese Google joke. But if you want to make it yourself with a 3D printer, Google has uploaded all the plans and software to GitHub.
