Google News is now available in Spain. Yes, Google’s news service is available again after eight years since the company closed the service due to the entry into force of copyright law. Now, and with the successive regulatory changes that allow the media to choose, the search service has reactivated its news portal, which can now be used normally.

In fact, Google has taken advantage of the fact that News turns 20, just today, to announce the return of the news service, which is one of the great references within the electronic aggregators of current content.

For many users, its closure eight years ago was a great setback, and although many alternatives to Google News have been born since then, the truth is that direct access to the service through the search engine was unrivaled.

The return of Google News, in addition, includes a new design, much more refined and clean, and very focused on customization for the user himself through the monitoring tools for the media.

Additionally, Google highlights that News helps readers find news from trusted sources, from the world’s largest news websites to small, local, and specialist publications. This means that you will not only find the big media, but also very specialized content that is of interest to the user.

In short, Google News is an aggregator that allows greatly personalize the news experiencebut will always take you to the original content site: News directs readers to publishers’ websites when they click on links, helping to drive traffic to your content.

What is not yet available is Google News Showcase, the special service of licensed products, that is, access to premium content for which Google pays publishers to generate specially cared for content, intended for Google News story panels. and Discover. Google confirms that it will continue to work with publishers to start adding content.

Be that as it may, Google News is already available in Spain, either through the website dedicated to it, and through the apps for iOS and Android that are once again available in Spanish stores.
