It’s been two years since Google launched the Pixel Buds Pro, and since then they have become one of the best Bluetooth headphones to use with our phones. Now, along with the arrival of the new Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, the company has also presented a new generation of headphonesand they are not only designed for music but also for AI.
And the new Pixel Buds Pro 2 are the company’s first headphones to incorporate the New Tensor A1 chip which, among other things, will handle all tasks related to artificial intelligence, because Google seems to want these headphones to be a window into Gemini and the AI capabilities that now live in Pixel phones and other Android devices. Let’s take a look at the technical specifications of Google’s new headphones.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 cancel more noise and have more autonomy
The new Pixel Buds Pro 2 promise to be a complete evolution of the previous modelGoogle explains that they are 24% lighter and 27% more compact than the Pixel Buds Pro, so they will be even more comfortable to use for many hours at a time (even when the Pixel Buds Pro were already quite comfortable).
Of course, the crown jewel in this new generation of Google’s earbuds is the Tensor A1 chip that each earbud includes. This chip is responsible for the most important improvements of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, such as the new Silent Seal 2.0 technology that, the company explains, cancels up to twice as much noise Compared to the previous model, it even improves the cancellation of higher sound frequencies, which are the most difficult to cancel, compared to lower frequencies (such as car noise, among others).
The new headphones also improve in battery life, with Up to 8 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation (and up to 30 hours with the charges offered by the case), and up to 12 hours of autonomy without active noise cancellation (and 48 hours using the case). And in the event that we run out of battery, with just 15 minutes of charging in the case we will get up to 1 hour of autonomy.
Last but not least, the Tensor A1 also improves sound processing, according to Google, offering better resolution and soundstage size when listening to music or any type of content.
