The latest leaks about Google devices have put a new terminal in the spotlight that would arrive in the coming months or, at least, this is what the rumors indicate. No, it is not the Pixel 7 Pro that we expect to be presented in the fourth quarter of this year 2022; it would be a completely different terminal.
Of course, the connecting thread that would make this new device together with the Pixel 7 Pro related would be the range to which both would be destined. Due to the leaks that have come to us from the Android Authority, both terminals would be focused on the high end of phones with the Google operating system.
Despite having the high-end in the spotlight, the formula to reach this area and fight with the proposals that come from other manufacturers will be the fact of betting on a contained size. Yes, something similar to what Asus has done with the Asus Zenfone 9 that has the latest from Qualcomm inside and a compact size.
In the case of the Google phone, the processor would not be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which should be presented shortly. Its interior would be signed by a Pixel Tensor processor developed by the Mountain View company itself. It would be quite interesting to have a Google phone whose size is restrained.
And, it is that, Android phones tend to have a considerable size and more when it comes to the high end. The clearest examples are terminals such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra or Google Pixel 6 Pro itself. Apple, on the other hand, always has an option that is moderate in size, but with the same features as the larger models.
In this generation of new iPhone phones, the device that marks this is the new iPhone 14 Pro and that is followed by the iPhone 14 Plus along with the iPhone 14 Pro Max that grow in size. Offering compact phones on Android may be what the industry needsthough Sony didn’t do too well doing this.
At the moment the only thing we can do is to wait for much more data to be revealed about this new device that should arrive in the coming months.
In the end, the leaks must be taken with a certain degree of skepticism since they can be fulfilled as remaining forever in the inkwell.
