There is no denying that artificial intelligence is making deeper inroads into life with each passing day. From ChatGPT or DALL-E, which have generated so much social uproar, or even Microsoft with its new Bing. However, here is another warrior in the battle who also wants his piece of the pie: Google.

When Google demoed Bard a few weeks ago, it also announced several AI-focused changes to core Google services like Google Search, Google Maps, and Google Translate.
The strange thing is that at no time did he mention the inclusion of artificial intelligence in the world of text messages. Well, it seems that Google might be working on something that will generate more detailed responses to the messages you receive.

Found in the latest beta version of Google Messages, the folks at 9To5Google discovered that Google is working on a new button for the Google Messages app. This button appears next to the emoji button. The symbol displays the same glowing icon that Bard uses.
If implemented, these responses could work by analyzing the content of the message and suggesting a list of possible responses based on the context of the conversation. For now, the button just writes “ALL!” in the message compose area, indicating that the feature is currently in development.
As always, the appearance of these potential AI-centric features in an unreleased version of this app does not guarantee that the feature will reach the stable version. What is clear from this new discovery, however, is that Google is likely several months away from developing a functional AI-based chatbot for users. Messages of Google.
