In fact, according to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Android smartphone users like Google Pixel, Samsung and OnePlus operating system based smartphones are at risk. Many vulnerabilities have been identified in these smartphones. The personal data of these smartphone users can be easily accessed online.
Danger for these smartphones!
If your smartphone works on Google operating system version 11, 12, 12L, 13 then you are in danger. If you want to protect your data and online fraud, you will have to update the latest software. It is noteworthy that many people do not update their phones from time to time, there remains a danger for such people. Actually, the government has issued a warning only for old version smartphones.
According to the report of CERT-In, working under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, smartphones based on Android operating system are used more for online payments in India. But, many sensitive information including location, banking details of phones like Google, Samsung, OnePlus and Nothink can be tracked.
What is the drawback of Android OS?
According to CERT-In, these vulnerabilities exist in the Android OS due to flaws in the framework, system, Google Play system updates, Arm components, MediaTek components, Unisoc components, Qualcomm components, and Qualcomm closed-source components. Taking advantage of these vulnerabilities, cyber fraudsters set arbitrary codes in the phone, due to which sensitive information reaches them. So to avoid any fraud, users should keep updating the appropriate patches as suggested by Google.
