Tech News Desk – Many new features are going to be added to WhatsApp this year. The company is working on several features simultaneously, which will be rolled out soon. Some features will be first introduced on the iOS beta version and some will be introduced first on the Android version. WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature for iOS beta that will allow users to set an expiration date for groups. According to the latest report by Wabetainfo, the new option will be available in Group Info.
When this feature is released, users will be able to choose from different expiration options such as one day, one week or a custom date. In addition, if users change their mind, they will also be able to change or remove the expiration date that was previously set. However, the choice will be personal and will not apply to other participants of the group.
This feature will serve as a good storage tool to save space by helping users manage groups over time. The report adds that the ability to choose an expiration date for groups is currently under development and is expected to be released in a future update. Meanwhile, last week, it was reported that the messaging platform is releasing a sticker maker tool on iOS that will allow users to turn images into stickers, eliminating the need for third-party apps to create stickers.
