Security, leaks and artificial intelligence: here is the news program of the day before. First, researchers discovered a major security flaw in one of Windows’ best apps since its last update. Then the Pixel 8 showed itself from all angles in a leaked video. Finally, OpenAI announces the launch of the ChatGPT application on the App Store.

Beware of the Mobile application connected to Windows and the hackers lurking there

Last month, Microsoft updated its Connected Mobile app, which now allows iPhone users to send and receive messages or make calls from their PC. Unfortunately, this update also hides a big security flaw. Hackers can use it to spy on their victim, simply by having physical access to the smartphone and connecting it to their own machine.

The Pixel 8 is the subject of a huge leak months before its release

While Google hasn’t said anything about its smartphone yet, a promotional video showing many aspects of the Pixel 8 has leaked on the web. There is a design similar to previous models as well as a small novelty: a thermometer capable of taking the temperature of its user. The latter would have a 6.52-inch AMOLED screen as well as a new processor which should be the Tensor G3.

ChatGPT gets an iPhone app

OpenAI announced the good news yesterday. In the United States, one can now download the ChatGPT application from the App Store. In France, we will have to wait a few more weeks, according to the company. As for the Android version, it’s even more vague: OpenAI is content to say that it will arrive “soon”. The functionalities are similar to those of the web version.
