Today, all new PCs sold (including OEM ones) have a built-in SSD, although it is true that they often come with low-capacity devices. If this is your case, or if you still do not have a fast SSD for the system, in this article we are going to talk to you about it. Seagate Barracuda Q5 1 TB, a PCIe 3.0 SSD that you can buy cheaper than ever because it is literally at less than half the price usual.

It is true that today we already have PCIe 4.0 SSDs well established on the market, with the new and very fast PCIe 5.0 models on the rise. However, the jump in performance from a mechanical drive or even an SSD with a SATA 3 interface to a PCIe 3.0 SSD is really very big, it is one of the updates that you will notice the most in a PC, and with the price they have now These units themselves… the truth is that it is worth it even to have them for mass storage on the PC. Let’s see it.

The cheapest 1TB SSD you can buy today

As we have mentioned before, the offer of the day is found in the 1 TB Seagate Barracuda Q5, an SSD with PCIe 3.0 interface and NVMe protocol that comes in M.2 2280 format, and that offers theoretical speeds of 2,400 MB/s read and 1,800 MB/s write. Ok, as we have said before, these are not the speeds offered by the most cutting-edge units on the market, but they are still very fast transfer rates that will greatly help the PC to boot faster and for games and programs to load much sooner.

These SSDs use QLC memory cells, which have the least durability (compared to TLC) but are also the cheapest, which is why the price of this 1 TB SSD is practically low. This does not mean that the Barracuda Q5 has poor durability, which reaches 531 TBW. In more understandable terms, this means that you could write about 145 GB per day to the SSD, every day for 10 years to exhaust its durability, and taking into account that on a gaming PC about 20 GB are written per day on average… it means that you will change PC before this SSD runs out.

The fact is that this SSD is in flash offer today on Amazon Spain, and that means that if you want to get a cheap 1 TB SSD, you should not miss the opportunity because tomorrow it will return to its usual price. This Amazon flash offer reduces its price by 52%, so you can literally buy it for less than half of what it usually costs.

By the way, if you are interested in other capacities you also have the 500 GB model for about €57 (not on sale) and the 2 TB capacity model for €95.90, in this case with a 57% discount and which also means being able to buy it for less than half of what it normally costs. You can access these capabilities from Amazon’s own page that we have linked above.
