here is the list of Samsung Galaxy that will not receive the update

While many users are eagerly awaiting the rollout of Android 14, others already know they will be left behind. Indeed, several smartphones have now reached the limit of the software support offered by Samsung and will therefore go their way for the next big update. Find the full list in this article.

Android 14: here is the list of Samsung Galaxy that will not receive the update

The development of Android 14 is quietly taking its course, preview after preview. The opportunity for users to learn each time a little more about the new features that await them in this next big update of the operating system. Unfortunately, we often forget that not everyone will be able to take advantage of all these new features.

Indeed, some older smartphones have now reached the limit of software support offered by manufacturers. This is particularly the case for some Samsung Galaxy, whose deadline was reached this year. Admittedly, in 2022, the Korean firm has indeed increased the duration of this support to 4 years for certain models. But for all smartphones prior to the Galaxy S21 FE, the path stops in 2023.

Here are the Samsung Galaxy smartphones that are not eligible for Android 14

In fact, not all smartphones released before the Galaxy S21 will receive the update to Android 14. Here are the models for which support ends this year:

  • Galaxy S20
  • Galaxy S20+
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Galaxy S20 FE
  • Galaxy Z Flip
  • Galaxy Z Fold 2
  • Galaxy Note 20
  • Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
  • Galaxy S10 Lite
  • Galaxy Note 10 Lite
  • Galaxy A22
  • Galaxy A32
  • Galaxy A51
  • Galaxy A71

Some tablets will also be deprived of updates. Here they are :

  • Galaxy Tab A8
  • Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
  • Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020)
  • Galaxy Tab S7/Galaxy Tab S7+

Of course, all devices prior to those mentioned above will not receive Android 14 either. As a reminder, if your smartphone is on the list, don’t panic: it is still not going to become obsolete. . Indeed, Samsung always offers 5 years of security patch, thus guaranteeing the protection of the devices concerned. However, you will not be able to take advantage of the latest features.
