Facebook Bonus Program: Meta has announced on Facebook to enable creators on its short-video making platform Reels, a competitor to Tiktok, that earns creators up to $4,000 (approximately Rs 3.07 lakh) per month for original content. The company is introducing the Facebook Creators Incentive “Challenge”, a new incentive that helps creators in the Reel Play bonus program.
Meta said it is adjusting how payments are calculated, aimed at honoring creators of varying sizes of viewers who are creating “high quality content with people.”
Facebook’s ‘Challenge’ is a new way to go through a series of bonuses to reach higher payouts. “Each creator in the program can participate in this series every month. For example, when your 5 reels reach 100 plays, you’ll earn $20,” Meta said in a statement.
When the creators complete one challenge, the next challenge will be unlocked. “For example, when a creator completes the 5 reel challenge example above, he or she will move on to the next challenge. For example, when each of your 20 reels reaches 500 plays, and so on to 100 dollars,” the social network reported.
Creators’ progress on the Challenge will reset to #1 at the start of every 30-day bonus period. The company said that it is also rolling out Insights to Reels Play creators on Facebook.
