Surely on some occasion your Xiaomi has sent you a message that you are turning up the volume too much when you are using headphones or some other device connected by Bluetooth. This is because MIUI integrates a system that suggests that you not turn the volume up so much while listening to music, although taking care of your ears will depend exclusively on you.
Knowing this, Google has decided to incorporate in its latest Android 14 beta a tool that is going to analyze the weekly use we make of the volume on our phoneand it will be able to download it automatically if it considers that you are using it above what is recommended, a functionality that will also reach our Xiaomi phones once they are updated.
Taking care of your addition is a top priority for Google
As we tell you, Android 14 will show us a notification if it considers that we are using the phone at too high a volume for a long time. This notification is usually common in some customization layers, but until now we were not given the two options that Google offers us: “Continue listening” or “Volume down”.
But Here the big difference is that if we press the “Continue listening” option more than five times, ignoring the recommendations that the system gives us, completely automatically the playback volume will be lowered to protect our hearing, a measure that can help us not abuse these types of habits in our day to day.
For now it is an option that we find activated in Android 14 Beta 2 which, by the way, you can already install on some Xiaomi models. Of course, between now and the final version is released there may be some change in this toolbut at least we have the certainty that it is based on scientific recommendations thanks to the IEC 62368-1 standard, third edition, which is always appreciated.
