The new family of terminals HONOR Just launched, the HONOR X Series is made up of three devices: HONOR X8a, HONOR X7a and HONOR X6. The three new mobile phones arrive destined to compete in the mid-range and for this they have a series of interesting features that we are going to see in detail.
Before going into the specifications, the proposals that HONOR has put on the table stand out in three main sections: autonomy, cameras and price. HONOR has indicated that these will be the assets with which they will compete with rivals such as Xiaomi, realme, Samsung and Huawei to try to win the interest of users.
It may be a risky battle because the midrange is one of the most competitive sectors of the mobile industry. In addition, in recent years the proposals have been refined to such an extent that it is difficult to choose one mobile over another and, above all, find striking models on their own merits.
Knowing the current context of the mid-range and the state of mobile phones, we are going to see these new HONOR devices that arrive in Spain. All three are familiar, although the most standard-bearer is the HONOR X8a that integrates the most interesting features and, of course, a slightly higher price.
HONOR X8a: specifications of a light and thin mobile
On the outside of the HONOR X8a what we find is a 6.7-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and TLPS LCD technology. The screen occupies a large part of the front, which makes the screen-to-body ratio 93.6%. A selfie camera centered in the upper area is integrated into this screen.
The sides are distributed as follows: the right has the volume control button together with the button for unlocking the mobile that also acts as a fingerprint reader and on the left side we have no buttons. When you jump to the rear, three cameras appear encapsulated in a square module.
These chambers are made up of a 100-megapixel sensor along with a 5-megapixel wide-angle and 2-megapixel macro camera. The front camera that serves as a face unlock method has 16 megapixels. Inside is the MediaTek Helio G88 along with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Autonomy is marked by a 4,500 mAh battery with a fast charge of 22.5 W. It is not the most powerful charge on the market, although HONOR assures that with SuperCharge technology it will only take 30 minutes with the mobile connected to the charger to achieve up to 10 hours of autonomy in music streaming.
HONOR X7a and HONOR X6: mobile features that want you to forget about the charger
The two remaining terminals are the HONOR X7a and the HONOR X6, both devices are one step below the HONOR X8a. The first, the HONOR X7a has a 6.74-inch screen Meanwhile he HONOR X6 reduces its diagonal to 6.5 inches. In both cases the screens are TFT LCD and the resolution is HD+.
In the middle of 2023 it does not make much sense for the resolution to be lower than Full HD. Continuing with the specifications, the HONOR X7a integrates four cameras: 50-megapixel main, 5-megapixel wide angle, 2-megapixel depth and also 2-megapixel macro. The last two sensors are quite anecdotal.
The HONOR X6 reduces the number of cameras to three sensors: 50-megapixel main, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth. The power of the HONOR X7a is branded by the MediaTek Helio G37 and in the case of the HONOR X6 it is the Helio G25. The battery capacity is 5,330 mAh on the HONOR X7a and 5,000 mAh on the HONOR X6.
Both devices arrive with Android 12 under Magic UI 6.1, as does the HONOR X8a, which is somewhat criticized since Android 13 is already available in a stable manner. The amount of RAM will be 4 or 6 GB on the HONOR X7a and only 4 GB on the HONOR X6, while storage is 128 GB for the former and 64 GB for the latter.
HONOR X8a, X7a and X6: availability and price
HONOR has chosen March 15, 2023 to launch these three new devices in Spain. The launch is accompanied by immediate availability as can be purchased from today in the official HONOR store and most likely will soon reach other online stores such as Amazon.
He HONOR X8a is priced at 269 euros and is available in blue, black and silver. He HONOR X7a has a tag of 229 euros and it can be chosen in the same colors as its big brother.
