Windows 11 computers have a mode that is extremely secure and that allows you to turn your laptop into a complete safe, nothing goes in and nothing goes out. At a general level, this feature is intended for those people who want to have a fairly limited experience of Windows 11.
Windows Mode S is, so to speak, a version of the new version of Microsoft’s operating system for computers that has endless limitations. It is useful in certain situations, although this does not mean that in general it is a version of Windows 11 that must be used on a day-to-day basis.
The operation is quite simple since Windows Mode S cannot be turned on or off, it just appears on the handheld device and, from there, what you have to do is use it or change the version of Windows 11 by purchasing a new license for versions such as Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro.
What are the advantages of this ultra-secure mode of Windows 11? There are several and among them is the fact that by not allowing the execution of programs external to those of the Microsoft application store, the computer that has Windows Mode S will start faster since it does not have the burden of these resources.
In truth, this may be the only general advantage of using Windows Mode S on a computer. Of course, it also has bad points such as the fact that not being able to install any type of application that is not within the Microsoft app store and therefore greatly limits the overall experience.
Also, following the line of programs that are integrated into the app store, what you can’t do is play any type of game that doesn’t come pre-installed. If you are an advanced user you will have to say goodbye to using the command section within Windows and operating system logs.
Despite the good intentions on the part of Microsoft with this mode, the truth is that once activated what you can do with the computer is navigate and little else. In the end, the experience is limited in such a way that it may be more convenient to buy or bet on a Chromebook that are usually cheaper and the general experience is the same.
