How to backup saved passwords in Google Chrome?

Google Chrome is one of the most preferred programs by internet browser users. Users’ saved passwords help them access many websites quickly and easily while using the browser. However, your saved passwords may be lost when you change your computer or reinstall the browser. Therefore, it is recommended to backup saved passwords in Google Chrome.

How to backup saved passwords in Google Chrome?

Here are the simple steps on how to backup your saved passwords in Google Chrome:

  1. First, open the Google Chrome browser and click on the three dots in the upper right corner.

  2. From the drop-down menu “SettingsClick “.

  3. “SettingsOn the ” page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “DevelopedClick “.

  4. “Passwords and forms” under “Manage PasswordsClick “.

  5. “Manage Passwords” on the page, “Three pointsClick on the ” menu and “Export PasswordsSelect “.

  6. Now use a “” button to specify a file location to save the passwords you want to back up.SaveThe ” window will open. In this window, choose where you want to save the backup and specify a filename.

  7. “SaveClick the ” button and Google Chrome will save a backup copy of your saved passwords to the location you specified.

  8. Now, whenever you want to make a backup of the saved passwords, you can restore the backup file to your browser.

  9. To restore your backup file, “Export PasswordsGo back to the ” page and click “Import Passwords”.

  10. Select the file where you backed up the passwords and click “HungryClick the ” button. Google Chrome will now restore your saved passwords.

All in all, backing up saved passwords in Google Chrome is pretty easy. You can back up your saved passwords and restore them whenever you need, just by following a few steps. In this way, your passwords will not be lost.
