The novelty that we did not expect is here: the edition of WhatsApp messages. The company has announced that it is a matter of weeks before all users can edit your posts within 15 minutes to your shipment.
Some WhatsApp users can already edit their messages, both with and without the beta version. If you have made a mistake and want to solve it, here we tell you how to edit your messages on whatsapp.
How to edit WhatsApp messages
Until now, what you said on WhatsApp was said, unless you deleted it for everyone. As of today you have a little more than two days to delete for everyone any message you have sent, but you couldn’t edit it to correct a mistake or add something.
Now, finally, WhatsApp lets us edit our messages as long as we do it maximum 15 minutes after sending them. The process is very simple regardless of the version of WhatsApp you use: select the message, press Edit and write the new text.

Editing messages on an iPhone
In a iphone, you will need to long-tap on your message to bring up the floating context menu. Tap on Edit in it and you will be able to change the text that you have sent. When you’re done editing, hit the send button and it will replace the original message.
In an android mobile the process is the same, with the only difference being where the option is located. First, select your message with a long touch and then press the menu button ⋮ in the top bar, to choose Edit. Then write the correction and send it to replace the original message.

In WhatsApp Web the process is somewhat simpler since we do not need to select the message first. Instead, we need to put the mouse over the message so that a down arrow icon is displayed, which opens the contextual menu where the option will appear. Edit.
This menu opens a floating window where we can see a preview of the current message and below we can write the new text to send it back to the chat.

Message editing doesn’t seem to be available yet in WhatsApp desktopalthough the normal thing will be that here the Edit button appears when we right click on our message.
