That’s it, after several weeks of speculation, Xiaomi will finally officially lift the veil on its next high-end smartphones, the Xiaomi 14, today during a conference.
Xiaomi’s new high-end smartphones are among the most anticipated Android devices every year, notably thanks to their high-end performance and their fairly rapid availability on the market, which makes them real “benchmarks” for the mobile industry.
Today, these are the new Xiaomi 14s that the Chinese manufacturer will announce on the occasion of a conference to be held in China. This will be broadcast live, and the entire Phonandroid team will obviously be on deck to follow it with you.
When and how to follow the Xiaomi conference?
- When does Xiaomi’s presentation take place? : Thursday October 26, 2023
- What time will the live start : at 1 p.m. (French time)
- How to follow Xiaomi live : on the manufacturer’s Chinese social networks
- How long will the live last? : more or less two hours
What should we expect from the Xiaomi conference?
The stars of the event will obviously be the two new high-end smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. These will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processorwhose launch we were able to follow the day before yesterday in Hawaii.
The chip not only promises increased performance compared to the previous generation, but also much better energy efficiency, which should allow smartphones to be even more durable than before. The Xiaomi 14 would also be more powerful than Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro, if certain benchmarks are to be believed.
Xiaomi will also unveil a brand new mobile operating system, called HyperOS, which will replace the old MIUI overlay on its smartphones. The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will also be accompanied by a new high-end watch, the Xiaomi Watch S3, as well as other devices from the manufacturer’s ecosystem. We will notably find an 85-inch mini-LED TV.
Unfortunately, despite the announcement of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro in China, we will still have to wait a few months before the smartphones arrive here in France. These aren’t expected to launch until early 2024, likely shortly after Samsung’s Galaxy S24s.
