One of the advantages of the Movistar Plus+ decoder is that it has additional functions that you will not find in the app. Among them, there are various settings that you can configure to your liking to improve image and audio quality.
For example, you can activate HDR and Dolby sound or schedule automatic shutdown and energy saving mode. In addition, there is a setting for improve sound power and get even louder volume. We’ll explain how to modify it.
Get extra volume in three steps
It is possible that the volume offered by your Movistar Plus+ decoder does not seem sufficient to you and, at some point, you have wanted to increase it. more than the remote control allows you remotely. If this is your case, don’t worry, there is a trick to amplify the signal from the UHD decoder itself.
You just have to enter ‘Settings’ (the gear icon) from the main screen of Movistar Plus+ and look for the option ‘Volume level’. Click on it and, instead of ‘Normal’ (which is the default setting), select the option ‘High’. Go back to save changes and you’re done.
With this, you will be able to increase the gain of the sound signal that the decoder sends to the TV via the HDMI cable. And therefore, you will get a louder volume. A tip: try to lower the volume on the TV before changing this setting to avoid getting a shock or damaging the speakers.
