Locating a location can be as easy with Google Docs as it is with Google Maps, and this is thanks to a new service update that allows the American company’s maps to be integrated into its text editor.

Google Maps and Google Docs in a single document
To insert a tab in your own document, you have to go to Insert > Smart Tabs > Place within Google Docs.
The feature is rolling out now, and is open to all Google Docs and Workspace usersso you should be able to test this feature on your computer right now.
By clicking on the place file, the user directly accesses Google Mapsopening the application and allowing to see the information about the destination in the side panel of Google Maps.
Users can also find the directions to the place, as well as other information such as opening and occupancy hours.
The patch follows a Google update in 2021 that allowed users to insert a Google Maps place tab into a Google Docs document by pasting a Maps link directly into the document.
