In this post we will see what they are the fastest ways to transfer photos from mobile to computer, regardless of operating systems. In other words, it will not matter if you go from an iPhone to a Mac or Windows PC, or if it is an Android with either of those two desktop operating systems.
1. Telegram: ideal if we do not want to lose quality
Of all the messaging applications, Telegram is one of the most interesting when it comes to sending files because it allows send them without compression and with a size of up to 2GB per file. In addition, you do not need to send it to anyone, since you will have the option to send it to yourself through the chat called Saved Messages.
Having the app installed on your mobile and computer, you will have to use the smartphone, enter the aforementioned private chat and click on the attach button. Of course, you should not directly select the photos (that would send them compressed), but you should click on Records and then in select from gallery to send uncompressed photos and videos.
Then you must open Telegram on the computer, open that same chat and download the photos. These will be located in the folder of downloads of the equipment (or where you have configured them to be saved) and you will be able to move them wherever you want.
2. Google Drive: the easiest and most universal cloud
There are quite a few cloud storage apps that work on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows, so any could work. However, Google’s is one of the easiest to usebeing native in Android, but with options to integrate it in Records of iOS.
The process is also quite simple. You just have to open the Google Drive app on your mobile, push the button + and then in Go up. It will be time to choose the option of Photos and videos and select all those elements of your gallery that you want to upload.
Once you are on the computer, you can use or not the desktop app. And it is that Google Drive is fully accessible from any browser. Therefore, downloading your photos on Windows or macOS will be one of the easiest things in the world.
3. Wetransfer: easy, fast and without third-party apps
Sending files with Wetransfer is becoming more widespread by the ease that it supposes by not having to install anything at all, all you have to do is have a web browser and an email account. Thus, you can send from one computer to another up to 2 GB of data in photos and videos (or other files if you wish).
You just have to enter the Wetransfer website from your mobile and click on the option to send a file. At that time you must choose your gallery as the source and choose all the photos you want to send. Then you must write a source email account and a destination email account (can be the same). After writing a security code that will be sent to the source account, you will be able to send the files.
Now it will only be a matter of opening the email on your computer and opening the Wetransfer email. In it you will find a download link that will allow you to download in compressed format all the photos you sent from your mobile.
4. AirDrop or Snapdrop: Apple’s ‘magic’ even on Android and Windows
In this case we will split this method into two options, depending on the equipment you have. If you have both Apple devices, that is, an iPhone and a Mac, you can use the well-known AirDrop for sending. In case your mobile is Android, Snapdrop will work for you.
In the first case, that of air drop, the operation is very simple. You have to make sure first that you have it activated on the Mac (from System preferences or from the control center). If so, you will have to open the Photos app on the iPhone, select all those that you want to send to the computer and when you click on the share button, choose air drop and then click on the Mac. You will receive these photos in the folder downloads of macOS.
you will have to use snapdrop if you have an Android and Windows or an Android and a Mac. In this case you have to download the app from Google Play and open the Snapdrop website on your computer. Once this is done, from the Android app, you must click on the computer icon and choose the photos you want to transfer. At that moment it will appear on the computer ready for download.
