Something that we highly recommend for cases in which you need the signal to reach further, is to use PLC devices. They are connected through electrical wiring, so the signal will arrive more stable. You connect one of them to the router and to the electricity, while the other you put in another socket.
You can also choose mesh systemsAlthough they tend to be more expensive. They are several devices or satellites that connect to each other. You will be able to take the connection to other places in the house and cover an area of several hundred square meters. You can distribute them in the areas where you need to have a network.
As you can see, if you have problems with Wi-Fi repeaters, you can find some alternatives. The main problem will be that the signal is weak, something that you can solve if you connect PLC or Mesh systems. Even changing the location of the router can come in handy to solve these failures.
