The last auction of the audiovisual rights of LaLigIt ended up, as we already know, with two successful bidders: Movistar and DAZN. The operator and the streaming platform will share the matches until 2027, so that, as the season progresses, we will know on which channel we can watch each match.
However, that distribution is not 50%. Movistar has three complete and exclusive days each season. This weekend is the first of them this season, so all the matches on matchday 5 will be broadcast on Movistar Plus+.
This weekend, all LaLiga matches will be seen on Movistar Plus+
During five seasons (from 2022/2023 to 2026/2027), Movistar and DAZN will share 35 days in which Movistar will be able to choose the first match in 18 of them and DAZN in the other 17. But each season has 38 days, what happens with the other three?

Well, Movistar keeps them exclusively, that is, the ten meetings are broadcast on Movistar Plus+, none can be seen on DAZN. And this weekend is the first day of the 2023/2024 season in which that will happen.
All matches on matchday 5 will be seen through Movistar Plus+, specifically, on the LaLiga TV channel on M+. This means that only those who have contracted football will be able to enjoy the Real Madrid – Real Sociedad Sunday at 5:00 p.m. or Valencia – Atlético de Madrid on Saturday at 4:15 p.m.
The good news is that, as happens every day, one of the matches will also be available on the Movistar Plus+ channel, a channel that customers of any operator can access for 14 euros per month. And what will that match be? He FC Barcelona – Real Betis on Saturday at 9:00 p.m.
Furthermore, as happened last year, there is a match each day that also can be seen for free openly through DTT (on GOL Play). This time, it is Athletic Club – Cádiz on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
