Wireless headphones have become one of the most popular accessories for our smartphone. In addition, Xiaomi has managed to position its headphones as one of the best-selling in the worldespecially thanks to the great quality/price ratio of these.
Well, let me tell you that if you have Xiaomi wireless headphones you’re probably not taking full advantage of its potential. As with MIUI or HyperOS, there are several tricks that will allow us not only to improve the sound and volume, but also to virtualize surround sound even if we have headphones without this feature:
1. Improve the sound of your headphones by increasing their volume
By default HyperOS and MIUI limit the volume of our headphones in order to maintain a constant level between different applications or simply when playing different songs. This in turn causes nWe never reach the maximum volume level that our smartphone and our headphones allow us, although fortunately we can deactivate this functionality.
If you want to achieve a louder volume on your Xiaomi headphoneswhether it is a Redmi Buds 5 Pro or a Redmi Buds 6 Active, without resorting to third-party applications, simply follow these steps on your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO mobile:
- Connecting the headphones to your smartphone
- Next, we will go to Settings > Bluetooth and click on the linked headphones as shown in the image.
- Finally we will deactivate the option called Maintain a constant volumethus preventing our Xiaomi from limiting the maximum playback volume.
2. Avoid losing your headphones by activating this option
Another option that HyperOS and MIUI hide and that very few people know about is the loss alert. This option will notify us When we have a headset away from our ear or out of the charging case for more than 3 minutesthus avoiding losing it. Activating this option is extremely simple and we will only have to follow these steps:
- Once our wireless headphones are connected, we go to Settings > Bluetooth
- After that we will access the options of our headphones and then the option option of Lost headset alert.
- Finally we will activate the option of Lost headset alert.
3. Virtualize surround sound even if you have headphones without this option
Another trick that will allow you to get more out of your Xiaomi headphones is the surround sound virtualization. This allows you to enjoy your favorite movies and games to a greater extent, emulating a kind of “spatial sound.” Regardless of whether you have inexpensive headphones that do not have this option, HyperOS allows you to emulate surround sound by following these steps:
- Connect wireless headphones to your smartphone and then go to Settings > Sound and vibration > Sound effects
- Finally we will activate the option called Virtual surround sound
