Twitter had announced a change in its new feature on April 15 itself that Twitter users who do not have a blue-tick subscription will have to change the two-factor authentication feature of their security feature. They have 30 days to do this.
According to Twitter, after March 20, 2023, Twitter will stop serving the two-factor authentication feature via SMS for users without blue-tick and accounts that have this feature enabled will have to be disabled. If you want to continue with the two-factor service, you will need to subscribe for Rs 900 per month for iOS and Android. At the same time, for its web version, a charge of Rs 650 will have to be paid every month.
Apart from this, Twitter can still continue the two-factor feature for security and through the Authenticator app. Twitter has asked its non blue tick users to use it through a post. For this, some changes have to be made in the settings of the app. For which first user has to open Twitter app, then click on profile picture, then phone and setting, then security and account access security two-factor authentication, select authentication app and security key.
If you choose the Authenticator app, the user will need to link their Twitter account to Google Authenticator and a password. After which you will get the option of Link App as soon as you select Get Started and you can proceed. On the other hand, if you choose the security option, you will have to create your own password to login to Twitter. Remembering the password is a bit difficult but it is a more secure option.
