For many months there have been rumors about the possible launch of a revision of Microsoft’s latest console. Well, we finally have two new Xbox Series X consoles. First we have a version Xbox Series X Digital Edition and, in addition, a Xbox Series X special edition in Galaxy Black with 2 TB capacity.
As you may know, we have two versions of Microsoft’s latest console. We have a digital version without a disc reader called Xbox Series S and a version that has a disc reader called Xbox Series X.
The original Xbox S model is white, though a larger-capacity black version was released last year. The original disc-based Xbox X was all black and had a 1TB capacity. Well, all of these consoles are getting an update with different tweaks.
Microsoft announces three “new” Xbox consoles
There has been a lot of speculation about a hypothetical third console from the company, a more powerful version. There have been many rumors about a new Xbox with a more powerful AMD APU than the current consoles have. At the moment, this remains a rumor that has not come to fruition.
Microsoft has surprisingly announced three new consoles that are a revision of the current models. The first model that draws attention is the Xbox Series S 1TB Digital Edition.
This is a review of the original console released in 2020 in color Robot White which now receives a 1TB SSD (the original model had 512GB capacity). The new console will be priced at 349 euroswhich is 50 euros more than the original model.

Perhaps the most curious model is the Xbox Series X Digital Edition. This revision of the console loses the disc reader and adopts the Robot White color, just like the original Series S. It has the same APU and storage capacity as the 2020 Series X. It will be cheaper, costing 499 euroswhich is 50 euros less than the version with a disc reader.
Finally, we have the most interesting review of all, possibly. We will have a “new” Xbox Series X Special Edition Galaxy Black 2TBThis new console is characterized by having a special black paint with green dots, with a special matching controller. As you well know, green is the corporate color of the console.
The other peculiarity of the console is that it increases its capacity up to 2 TB. The model launched in 2020 had a capacity of “only” 1 TB. The capacity is doubled and the price is also increased, costing this new console 649 eurosWe are talking about 100 euros extra for this console which is a special and possibly limited edition.
All of these consoles will be released first in the United States on October 15. Microsoft has also confirmed that they will be rolled out to other regions starting on October 29. Microsoft typically launches the console first in the United States and then in the rest of the world a few days later.
If you are interested in getting one of these versions of the new console, they can currently be reserved in the Microsoft digital store.
