Indiana Jones 5 will travel back in time for a moment
It’s been a long time since we enjoyed the last Indiana Jones movie, and perhaps that’s why the directors want to help us remember. And no, they won’t take us to the last installment (that’s perhaps best forgotten), instead we will teleport to 1944where Indi will be facing a group of Nazis in an army castle.
And from there, after finishing the confrontation, we will return to the current moment within the timeline of Indiana Jones, in full 1969, where this new adventure will begin. So with the idea of not breaking the magic of the character and that the most demanding viewers do not begin to criticize the failure in the timeline (it would be something obvious), the directors have decided to rejuvenate Ford so that in the first scene of the castle appear young.
Thus, the actor will interpret that introduction to serve as a prelude to the new adventure that the film will present to us, and later he will look as he looks today at his current age, because we remember that Harrison Ford has nothing less than 80 years. And yes, she is better than you and me. What remains to be seen is if we will see any digital cameo from Sir Sean Connery. It would be quite exciting to see considering that as the father of Indiana Jones they made a very good on-screen couple. Let’s remember that Connery left us last 2020, so his appearance, however short it was, would be highly celebrated.
New cast of actors
It has been confirmed that the actors who will be part of this new film are Mads Mikkelsen (Voller), Antonio Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Helena, Indiana’s goddaughter) and Boyd Holbrook, and some images of them in full filming have been published you can see below.
What will the Indiana Jones 5 movie be called?
The new movie will take us decades after World War II, but that won’t stop good old Indi from continuing to have problems with the Nazis. We’ll see if any relic is in the equation, but what is clear is that we will see vehicles in the air and the odd snake.
The context will revolve around the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union to conquer the Moon, and that is where the Nazis appear, since the moon landing program was in charge of a group of ex-Nazis. That’s where Mikkelsen comes in as Voller and Boyd Holbrook, and Jones, who can’t stand those Germans, will try to remedy the matter.
Indiana Jones 5 will be released on June 30, 2023, so there is less left to see hang the whip for… last time?
