iOS 16.1 beta 3 is available
Apple has set itself the goal of releasing iOS 16.1 as soon as possible, the update is currently in the midst of a beta program which has the mission of stabilizing and correcting problems before the official release.
The Californian giant is offering the third beta of iOS 16.1, this one is (unsurprisingly) reserved for developers only and should be available soon for public testers, it takes about 24 to 48 hours before this is the case.
Here is the complete list of what the iOS 16.1 betas have brought so far, as you can see below, there is a lot of new stuff:
- The ability to remove the Wallet app from the iPhone
- The API for Live Activities on the lock screen
- Matter’s support for home automation
- The Clean Energy Charging option to charge your iPhone “cleanly”
- Battery percentage is now available for iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 12 mini
- The battery icon provides a visual effect of the battery as it drains.
- Apple Fitness+ can be used without the need for an Apple Watch.
- Fixed 3-finger gesture bug.
- The pop up which kept asking you if you want to copy from one app to another is no longer relevant.
For the third beta of iOS 16.1, Apple brings bug fixes, better stability, but also some changes:
iPadOS 16.1 beta 4
Regarding iPadOS, Apple still does not offer the famous iPadOS 16 update, but the developer teams continue to work actively on iPadOS 16.1, Apple is offering the 4th beta for developers.
In this new beta dedicated to iPads, there is support for Stage Manager on the iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 inches from 2018 and 2020 (A12X and A12Z chip), the functionality is no longer reserved for iPads that have a M1 chip!
