- Know what will change here
We’ve rounded up 5 features for our iPhones we want to see in iOS 16 next year, no matter how big or small. Here we are giving you information about what these will be and which iPhones will be supported by them.
iOS 16 release date leaks
Apple has followed the traditional schedule of announcing the latest iOS update at WWDC in June. It is being said that it can be released around September. With iOS 15.2 available, Apple is working on rolling out a number of more important features. In previous years, we have seen that ProRes was introduced in iOS 15.1 in iOS 13.4 in October last year.
iOS 16 Supported iPhone
Apple tries to support a variety of iPhone models with each new iOS release. iOS 15 supports the minimum iPhone 6S, which was released in 2015. An early leak suggests that the iPhone 6S (along with the iPhone 6S Plus and the original iPhone SE) will not get iOS 16, but the iPhone 7 might. It will surely come with iOS 16 support at least for the iPhone 7 series. But some features are hardly given in it.
what is the expectation
We don’t know much about iOS 16 yet, but this is an idea of what we can expect from it. Here we are going to give you information about some of the main features that can be given in iOS 16.
redesigned camera app
The iPhone camera has seen a lot of improvement in recent years, with more lenses added. Also features like Night Mode and Cinematic Mode have been introduced. However, this means that the camera app has many features that make it great. At the same time, there are others that fill up the camera app such as the flash or exposure settings that require multiple swipes to access.
With the release of iOS 15.2, there’s a new macro button that can help you set those close-up shots more accurately when needed. However, this feature is only for the iPhone 13 series. With the Camera app, users can be helped to take photos in a new way, as well as a new way for existing users to take photos and videos.
It wouldn’t be wrong to assume that Apple has bigger plans for cameras in future iPhone models. This means that the company can offer new features. A new feature can be given in the app which can be given in iPadOS 15 and macOS 12. Under this, when you move your finger up from the bottom-right corner, notes will open in front of you in which you can type quickly. This can be done while in any app. You can make multiple gestures on the iPhone, so there’s no harm in adding another gesture.
Home Automation Widget
Widgets were given a makeover in iOS 14, with the ability to place them anywhere on the home screen. Along with this, it is also being said that widgets of some other apps will not be given.
If you have smart lights in your home, you can use the app to manage them. There is no need to ask Siri if you want to quickly turn on the light. You will also be able to manage them through the app. Having a widget on your home screen for your smart light will help you with this.
It’s a bit strange that the widget hasn’t appeared yet but we’re hoping it will be available not only in iOS 16, but also in future versions of macOS and iPadOS.
air apps
If you have AirPods or AirTag, you’ll have trouble using each one. AirPods settings can only be accessed via Bluetooth from within the Settings app, while Airtags settings can be accessed through the Find My app. They can be used through a centralized ‘AirThings’ app.
Third party vendors like Sony bring some apps that can help you manage headphones and the features that can help them manage them better. By being able to do so, you’ll be able to easily use these features without having to go to Bluetooth inside the Settings app.
better theme options
In 2019, themes were seen for some of the new features that the Shortcuts app offers in iOS 13. With Shortcuts, you can use the app to create launch commands for other apps by placing an icon of your choice on the home screen. This has resulted in many themes being made available for iPhone users. YouTuber Marques Brownlee has also created a short guide for creating your own icons with Shortcuts.
More about iOS 16, a new category in the App Store enables you to download themes and then choose from within the Settings app. You can also choose different tones and sounds for notifications . One can set them as a separate theme, which can also be enabled with automation in the Shortcuts app.
