iOS 18 beta 3: all the new features that Apple has added for the iPhone

Apple has released beta number 3 of iOS 18 for the iPhone and this third update comes with important new features and improvementsas well as offering better performance overall. Development of Apple’s new operating system took all summer, last year iOS 17 had 8 beta versions before the RC version is released, so there is still a long way to go.

Along with iOS 18 beta 3, Apple also released the Third betas of iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, visionOS 2, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18. Which surely also include important improvements.

iOS 18 beta 2 brought interesting new features such as iPhone Mirroring, screen sharing with SharePlay, improvements to the home screen, passwords and many areas of the operating system. And In iOS 18 beta 3 we also find new features important:

• More icons in Dark ModeiOS 18 lets you change the color of icons, and there’s also an option to darken them when you activate Dark Mode. Apple has improved this view by adding more third-party app icons and tweaking the colors of some system icons, such as Maps.
• New dynamic wallpapersiOS 18 wallpapers are available in a variety of colors and now have a new dynamic version that changes from one to another depending on the time of day when you choose them on the lock screen.

• Improvements to the Photos appThe Photos app has seen some major improvements, with the Select Now button always present at the top and photos appearing full screen whenever you open them, up from when they were slightly smaller.
• What’s new in the Emoji keyboard. A very interesting new feature has arrived on the emoji keyboard. Now the icons are larger and we have both stickers and memojis included in the main section of most used, we can even create them from there directly by sliding to the sides. It is likely that these changes are due to the upcoming arrival of Genmoji, which will be integrated in some way into the keyboard.
• Flashlight InterfaceThe flashlight in iOS 18 not only lets you adjust the intensity of the light, but also the focus, making the beam of light wider or more concentrated. To do this, you must slide sideways in the new interface that appears when you turn on the flash, an interface that is now clearer in beta 3 of iOS 18.

These are the Main new features coming with iOS 18 beta 3. Improvements related to Apple Intelligence are not yet available, and remember that it will take some time before we see them outside the US.

At the moment, only the iOS 18 developer beta can be installed on the iPhone, although it is a beta that anyone can install. The iOS 18 public beta should arrive in the next few days, as it usually coincides with the developer beta 3.
