Continuous design, although more stylized and with titanium
It was rumored that these iPhones would return to the design of the iPhone 11 Pro with curved edges. However, as we predicted in previous weeks, it is a straight but slightly curved edge design to promote a better grip. Especially for those daring people who carry the device without a case.
There are also changes regarding materials, leaving aside steel to make way for titanium. This material still allows options such as wireless charging (and MagSafe, of course), but adds one more element that those who carry it without a case will also love: greater resistance to fingerprints.
As expected, the new action button replacing the classic mute switch. Although this function can continue to be maintained, other possibilities are now added, such as being able to quickly open the camera or flashlight and even execute previously configured shortcuts.

New action button and classic volume buttons
There are no noticeable changes in terms of screens. We still have OLED panels of 6.1 and 6.7 inches diagonal, although with reduced frames considerably. Of course, the 120 Hz refresh rate and peaks of up to 2,000 nits, the ‘Always On Display’ function and the already known Dynamic Island that this year debuts in the ‘non-Pro’ models such as the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.
Riding the first 3nm chip and subtle camera improvements
The main brain of every self-respecting smartphone is the microprocessor and, once again, Apple is betting on the one that, according to its tests, It is the best chip in the industry. This is the A17 Pro, the first processor manufactured in 3 nanometers and has 6 CPU cores and another 6 GPU cores, which, in Apple’s words, “is groundbreaking.”

Like RAM, Apple does not specify the capacity of its batteries. Greater capacity is sensed in both cases. However, they do state that autonomy has increased by 2 hours regarding the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.
Above the camera, remains the bet on a 48 megapixel main sensor which is accompanied again by two lenses of 12 megapixels. We don’t get the rumored periscope lens in this generation, although the telephoto increases to x5 at 120mm.

The cameras get improvements in low light conditions and in portrait mode. This is achieved thanks to larger diameter lenses that, for another generation, will cause the module to increase in size. Along with the other design changes They make previous iPhone cases incompatible.
It does highlight the possibility of record spatial videos according to the Apple Vision Pro. However, it will be available later, as it is a type of video that will only be enjoyed on the helmet, which has not yet been released on the market.
Regarding USB-C, the worst omens regarding 10 Mbps transfer speeds. Not for those who get one of these ‘Pro’, but for those who opt for the iPhone 15 or 15 Plus, since this speed is not offered in those. According to Apple, it’s because “only the A17 Pro” has that capability.
