With each new generation of iPhones, Apple offers a new color for the iPhone Pros. The iPhone 15 lineup had an absolutely stunning Titanium Blue, and the next lineup is expected to get a “brown” that’s still titanium. A leak published today suggests that Apple could call its new color “Desert Titanium.”
Internet users have a crush on this new color
Apple is gearing up to launch its next-generation iPhone next month, and as usual, there’s been a lot of speculation surrounding the new colors. A recent leak, revealing images of the camera rings on the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, has confirmed rumors about the new colors coming to the models. Apple is expected to introduce a new shade, dubbed “Desert Titanium.”
According to the leaked details, this new color, described as a “dark gold,” will replace the “Titanium Blue” introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro. “Desert Titanium” is presented as a color that is both subtle and deep, designed to evoke a sense of sophistication and discretion. Apple seems to be targeting, with this choice, a clientele attracted to elegant and minimalist designs, while maintaining a high standard of perceived quality.
Historically, gold iPhones have always attracted a lot of interest from consumers. This “dark gold” shade could therefore play a key role in Apple’s strategy for iPhone 16 Pro sales, by renewing the appeal of the high-end models.
Other color options for the iPhone 16 Pro will include White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Natural Titanium, the latter of which will sport a more grayed-out finish. Limiting the palette to four colors, in addition to “Desert Titanium,” reflects Apple’s desire to maintain a certain exclusivity while still offering a variety of choices to its users.
The “Desert Titanium” color could well become one of the only distinctive elements of this new generation of iPhone since Apple should (again) reuse the same design as the iPhone 15 Pro and previous models.
There are four colors in total in the iPhone 16 Pro Lineup: white, black, gold and gray.
