The official presentation of the iPhone 16 is still far away, which does not prevent leakers from all sides from sharing their first information on Apple’s future smartphone. According to Majin Bu, an insider specializing in the Apple brand’s products, the iPhone 16 photo assembly will return to a vertical layout.
Even if the iPhone 15 is only in its fifth month of activity, the eyes of the specialized press and leakers are already turned towards its successor: iPhone 16. For now, no official information has leaked on Apple’s future smartphone. On the other hand, rumors and rumors about him are legion.
Recently, for example, we learned that the iPhone 16 could include a very practical feature from Sony devices, namely a new capture button. Similar to those found on classic cameras, this button would offer different functionalities depending on the pressure exerted (light pressure to focus, stronger pressure to take the photo).
Vertical photo sensors on the iPhone 16
This is not the only information we have on the photo part of the device. According to Majin Bu, a renowned leaker specializing in Apple brand products, iPhone 16 could adopt a new sensor layout. Well, not really news. We would rather return to a previous configuration, namely vertically aligned sensors, like on the iPhone 12 or the iPhone X.
At the beginning of February 2024, the insider had already shared some industrial sketches of the iPhone 16 which revealed this new approach. Well, Majin Bu signs and persists this Monday, February 19, 2024 with new 3D renders of the iPhone 16. In addition, the informant also published photos of the molds of the smartphone which indeed confirm this vertical arrangement.
Note that in another publication on the social network, Majin Bu revealed the supposed colors of the iPhone 16 Pro. According to him, the high-end variant of the smartphone would be offered in two colors (for the moment), namely: Desert Yellow (a gold comparable to that of the iPhone 14 Pro) and Cement Graya rather classic but elegant brushed metallic gray.
