‘Mario Kart Tour’ came to our phones in 2019 as a simplified version of the popular racing game. Over time, the game improved by adding features that did not come initially, such as multiplayer and landscape mode. Four years later, support is about to end.
One of the pillars of ‘Mario Kart Tour’ is in its name, the tours. The game took us to different cities in the world and/or events periodically, giving us good reasons to play it again. There will be two final tours and no more: From then on, the content created in these four years will begin to be recycled.
‘Mario Kart Tour’ runs out of new content
‘Mario Kart Tour’ was at the time Nintendo’s best launch for mobile phones and one of the ways Nintendo found to maintain interest was Constant updating with new content with new circuits, characters, cars and gliders, packaged in so-called themed city or event tours.
The four years that the game has received updates have provided for many tours, so many that Nintendo has decided that they are enough. Starting October 10 you will not receive any more content and the existing ones will begin to be recycled.

Therefore bittersweet news for its players. Although the game remains in the maintenance phase, which is never a good indication of its future and could end up closing completely, at least it will be possible to continue playing it at the moment and there is no date for its final closing, for now.
The next Mario Kart Tours will begin on September 20 (Anniversary Tour) and October 4 (Battle Tour), which will be the last with new content. Since then, including the upcoming Halloween Tour on October 18, will be recycled.
