Tech News Desk – Reliance Jio on Friday said that Gujarat has become the first state to have ‘true 5G’ facility in all its 33 district headquarters. With this, Jio ‘True 5G’ is now present in 10 cities/regions in India including Delhi-NCR. Jio will reportedly launch a series of 5G-powered initiatives in Gujarat in the education, healthcare, agriculture, Industry 4.0 and IoT sectors, and then expand across the country. To begin with, Reliance Foundation and Jio will together digitize 100 schools in Gujarat under an initiative called ‘Education-for-All’. Akash M Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited said, “Gujarat is now the first state where 100% district headquarters are connected to our robust True 5G network. We want to showcase the true power of this technology and how it can impact the lives of a billion people.
Jio had earlier announced that ‘true 5G’ would now be available in Pune, offering unlimited 5G data at speeds of up to 1Gbps. From November 23, Jio users in Pune will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited data at no extra cost. Explain that Pune is known as a major IT hub and automobile and manufacturing center with a large student population. So launching Jio True 5G here will be a big game-changer for the city. Last week, Jio launched its Jio True 5G service in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and other major locations. After which it became the only operator to provide 5G service in the Delhi-NCR region.
