(Good) music has the unique quality of staying stuck in your head for hours, days or even longer. And there are bound to be parts that you particularly like, whether it’s a drum solo, a rap verse or a lyrical flourish, pushing you to use the cursor to systematically go back. This is exactly what developer Antoine wanted to offer us with his Kiyoharu tweak.
Kiyoharu Tweak Preview
Once Kiyoharu is installed (the name apparently meaning “precious”), you can tap the lock screen with two fingers while listening to your favorite music to set the track to repeat. Then, to avoid going crazy, a double tap is enough to disable / re-enable the loop. This option was removed in a patch version 1.0.1 due to a conflict with Serotonin’s “semi-jailbreak” for the RootHide bootstrap, but it will be reintegrated in the future when a fix has been found. On the other hand, the first version is perfectly usable with full jailbreaks such as Dopamine or palera1n. In the meantime, the developer has added a button.
As you can see, Kiyoharu’s interface is simple, with a progress bar and therefore a button to activate or not the looping.
Note also that Kiyoharu does not have any options to configure in the Settings application, only a tutorial is present there, as well as the credits.
If you want to try Kiyoharu, you can purchase it for $0.99 from the Chariz repository via your favorite package manager like Sileo, Zebra, and other Cydia. The tweak is compatible with iOS 15, iOS 16, and iOS 17 jailbreaks.
