Update your iPhone now, the current version of your operating system is vulnerable to this spyware.

If you have automatic updates disabled on your iPhone device, you will have to manually install one of the most important updates that have been released by Manzana in these lasts months.

Those from Cupertino have just released a critical and urgent security update for iOS 16, aimed at iPhone but also to the iPad, to correct a dangerous error that would allow a cybercriminal to access your device.

This exploit would allow attackers to install the Pegasus spyware and thereby allow them to read all your text messages, listen to your calls, steal your data and even track your location, among others.

While spyware Pegasus usually focuses on different specific objectives, the truth is that Apple has launched this update critical security update urging all users with an iPhone or iPad to install it now.

This exploit called blastpass It was first discovered by the research firm Citizen Labwhich later revealed it to Apple to work on an update.

The worst thing about this spyware is that it is capable of compromising devices running the latest version of iOS 16without any type of interaction on the part of the victim.

With this, Cupertino has released iOS 16.6.1 to counteract this vulnerability and in its release notes it is noted that “an attachment created for malicious purposes can cause arbitrary code to be executed.”

The security firm recommends that all at-risk users consider enabling lockdown mode.

This blocking mode is one of the recent features of iOS and is designed to restrict the functions of devices, especially designed for a specific group of users most exposed to serious and specific threats in digital security.
