There is already a desire to know the new mobile phones from Google. They will be the Pixel 8 and we already know when they will be officially presented: October 4. However, there are still many unknowns to be revealed about them.
One of the most important is the price and, according to the latest leaks, we already know how much we will have to pay for them in Europe. Of course, it should be said first that it is an external report and not one issued by Google, who probably will not confirm the prices until October.
35% more expensive than the Pixel 7
Knowing that there is little more than a month left for Google to present the Pixel 8, it is normal for leaks of all kinds to appear and for the price to be the most desired to know. The latest leak echoed by media such as Android Authority let us see the Pixel 8 prices without VAT:
- 128GB Pixel 8: €710.77
- Pixel 8 256GB: €771.79
- Pixel 8 Pro 128GB: €1,004.65
- Pixel 8 Pro 256GB: €1,065
- Pixel 8 Pro 512GB: €1,188
In the filtration, which comes from The Tech Outlook, there is talk of a VAT of 24% that is not what we have in our country. If we calculate the prices with VAT in Spainwhich is 21%, would look like this:
- 128GB Pixel 8: €860.03
- Pixel 8 256GB: €933.14
- Pixel 8 Pro 128GB: €1,215.63
- Pixel 8 Pro 256GB: €1,288.65
- Pixel 8 Pro 512GB: €1,437.48
It should be said that, If they are met, they will mean a more than considerable price increase compared to what was seen before. 32.5% more in the Pixel 8 by increasing the base of 211 euros and 35.2% in the Pixel 8 Pro with a base increase of 316 euros. But, we insist, in the end it is still a leak and there is still the possibility that the real prices are different.
The leak is based on retail stores, so from The Tech Outlook they also talk about the range of colors that the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will have. For the first, options in hazelnut (‘Hazel’), purple (‘Obsidian’), pink (‘Rose’) and mint green (‘Mint’) colors. For the ‘Pro’ model we would find ‘Bay’, purple (‘Obsidian’), porcelain (‘Porcelain’), pink (‘Rose’) and mint green (‘Mint’).
